Theme: Created Special
Passage: Psalms 139:13-24
Ignorance of who we are in Christ Jesus makes us look at ourselves as inferior to others. God wants us to understand how precious, priceless, beautiful, most cherished we are before Him. We are Christ’s and Christ is for us and in us. We are the offsprings of God and we possess the mind of Christ.
David declared that God was present at his conception and birth. God created us individually with a special purpose. God himself designed and formed our bodies, more so planned and determined our days (Vs 16), which includes the length of life, job 14:5; and the purpose we will achieve, Eph 2:10, Phil.2:12-13.
Stop comparing yourself with others. Your life, your bodily form, your family, your work, that your environment, your intellect, soundness of mind, health are purposeful and are meant to glorify the Almighty God who made you in his own image. By comparing yourself to others, you are telling God that he made a mistake in creating you.
If you are yet to know who you are in Christ, stop complaining, go down on your knees and ask God to reveal His purpose for your life to you. You are not accidentally created, but fearfully and wonderfully made to testify to the glory of God like King David.
MEMORY VERSE: Psalms 139:14. “I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are your works, And that my soul knows very well.”
HYMN: MHB 851 – ALL things bright and beautiful.
PRAYER: Help me not to think less of myself, but yield my totality to you and live in the realms purposed for me.
