MESSAGE

Whereas our physical being is limited by time, space, knowledge and human frailties, the Spirit of God have no such limitations. If we walk in the Spirit, we have the benefit of knowing beyond the physical and all such fleshly dispositions that put us at logger-head with God is avoided.

What the Bible calls flesh is very stubborn and difficult to deal with. Apostle Paul in Romans 7 had about with flesh depending on his natural abilities. He tried as much as he could but failed woefully. He confessed with bewilderment in Romans 7:15 “For I do not understand my own actions. I do not practise or accomplish what I wish, but I do the very thing which my moral instinct condemns.” He realized that the sin that dwelt in him would not allow him to do what he wanted to do. He submitted therewith to the ability that the Spirit of God gives the result. He received justification from sin and victory over the flesh. He says boldly in Romans 8:1 “There is, therefore, no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit”.

Beloved, what God is telling you today is, ‘walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfil the desires of the flesh’. As ever, the flesh will push you to do those things you do not want to do this year, but with the Holy Spirit in you, with you and beside you, the flesh would be defeated. Read the Bible constantly and pray for guidance of the Holy Spirit before venturing into anything. The Spirit of God will surely guide you to overcome the power of the flesh.

PRAYER: Holy Spirit, let me walk with You. Guide my speech, thought, movement, action, reaction and activities today in Jesus’ name. Amen.
