MESSAGE

As a follow up to our meditation yesterday, it is important for us to know the preciousness of what we carry and who we are. This is because we are same in Christ and this should form the fundamental reality by which we live. Since we live in Christ and He is resident in us, we should no longer be carried away by the wind of strange doctrines and the fantasies of ungodliness, but perfectly blend with Him.

Apostle Paul made it very clear (Vs 6 & 7) that we are the reflective image of Christ, who himself is the direct image of God-head, and we possess the precious treasure (the divine light of the Gospel- Good News) in our frail human vessels. This Christ’s light in us reveals God’s power through us and bestows His blessings on us. Also, the presence of Jesus in and around our lives brings to us brightness, beauty and order. Praise God! What a privilege!

With the above truth in mind, we, as Apostle Paul declared (Vs 8 -10), are to be confident that in all things we are victorious and to see whatever comes our way as a necessary phase that the resurrection life of Christ may be proved through our lives. According to Apostle Paul, Christians are like jewels (gold, silver) in an earthen jar of clay. Theirs’ is a ministry of suffering for the salvation of souls. From time to time, they are persecuted, troubled here and there, always bearing the mark of the death of Jesus Christ on their bodies, so that they too may rise with the Lord on the Day of Judgment.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus I receive the means of grace from you to continue in You so that the brightness of Your light will forever shine in and through my life. Amen.
