MESSAGE

When you build yourself, it does not mean others are not involved in the process. It would only mean the person knows how to employ the services of others to benefit self. To do this, you need the humility of asking for assistance from those who know more than you do. Who else can help us out of all the catalogues of ungodly characters that Jude, the half-brother of Jesus, paints then this one-chapter epistle except God?

Christ has promised that He would not leave us comfortless. He has given the Holy Spirit to be with us, to remind us of all things Christ taught us and to empower us. Believers, therefore, need to form a league with the Holy Spirit to make a success of their Christian lives and ministries.

The Holy Spirit is a Counselor to believers, a Comforter, a Teacher, an Intercessor, a Guard, a Guide and Power of God to believers. In fact, a preacher referred to Him as the senior partner in the business of God’s Kingdom.

It should be noted that when we pray in the Holy Spirit, it does not mean ‘speaking in tongues’ alone. When you pray in the Holy Spirit by understanding, the Spirit leads you on what to pray about. “And because you are His sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out Abba Father!” (Galatians 4:6). On the other hand, you could pray, using the gift of other tongues.

When you involve the Holy Spirit in this build-up, your knowledge is greatly increased, knowing more of the things of God. Every information the Holy Spirit gives you adds up to your knowing God. Keep building up yourself!

PRAYER: While you are building me up, Abba Father, do not allow me to collapse back into the world. Amen.
