MONDAY 10TH FEBRUARY, 2020
THEME: PREACH WHAT YOU RECEIVE
PASSAGE: GALATIANS 1:1-12
HYMN: MHB 781 – LORD, speak to me, that I may speak
MEMORY VERSE: Galatians 1:12 “For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ”.
When you preach, you declare what you have received from God. God’s message is to redeem man from the pangs of Satan and sin. It must be made clear that no man can deliver another man. Only God can. God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to come to this wretched world to die for mankind. By His death the wages of sin was paid for the redemption of man. God, therefore, has a manuscript of what man must do to access the saving grace that comes through the death of Christ. However, men are employed by God to preach the content of this manuscript – The Gospel, The Bible, the Word of God.
No one has the right to preach it except called to do so. (Romans 10:15). When you are called to preach, you are to be a mouthpiece for God. You listen to Him and re-echo whatever He says. You cannot and dare not speak your own. When you speak your own, you divorce yourself from the divine partnership with God to liberate men from sin and Satan.
“For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building” (I Corinthians 3:9). And when God calls you to do His work, He will provide all that will make you successful. He will make you bold and grant you the needed wisdom and knowledge.
We are everything for God; His mouth, eyes, hands and legs. We are to replicate His love, passion, faithfulness, holiness, trust and all godliness. You receive all these when you receive Christ and you are called and commissioned to preach what you have received without holding anything back. See Deut. 4:2; 12; 32; Rev. 22:19
PRAYER: Help me, O Lord, to preach Your raw Word to unbelievers and bless me with Your Crown of glory at the end of age for I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
