In such a time as this, what sacrifices are you making to hear God?
Remember, it’s in times like this, birthings and transitions take place. Times when there is a scarcity of God’s word.
Everyone is struggling to survive.
What conscious effort have you made to hear God this season?
There is a way this crisis can end that would leave us far better off than when it began. To see this possibility, we must understand the crisis for what it is. What then is it?
It is a wake-up call for the world and particularly for God’s people. We must know that God is sovereign in all this. If He did not send it, He is big enough to stop it. So, if you insist that God did not send this trouble, you must at least acknowledge that He is Sovereign over all.
Based on Scripture, I believe that God does send trouble when it’s necessary for our ultimate good. He sent trouble to Jonah to get him turned in the right direction. What was God’s objective behind sending the storm and the fish Jonah’s way? It was to get Jonah aligned with His purposes. It was the salvation of many souls in Nineveh.
Consider the persecution that came on the early church in Acts 8. That persecution broke up their “holy huddle” and got them out into the harvest field. The end result of that disruption was an advancement of the gospel. Acts 8:4 says, “Therefore [the result of the persecution was:] those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.”
The church today is being forced to send out the word through the Internet.
Asides from the word being sent out, do you consider this as a wake-up call to an alarm you’ve been hitting the snooze button on??
Dear believer, the season is upon us. There’s a wave coming!
The first requirement demanded for the enrollment of this coming wave of the spirit is “unity”. This would entail corporate alignment.
Psalms 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in *unity*!
133:2 It is like the precious *ointment* upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
133:3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
In response to the aforementioned, your prayer should be Just like Peter who said, “If It is You, BID ME COME”; To say it differently, Peter said, “My Heart is ready, Just give me instructions Lord”.
Pray and say: Lord, May this always be the constant state of my Heart even in this season and beyond.
Help me to stay aligned!
