When one sets out time to seek God in his life and daily dealings, God always proves Himself to him. King Asa wisely decided to seek God by welcoming people who had a close relationship with God and listening to their advice. Azariah gave the armies an important warning and encouraged them to stay close to God because God’s presence matters much in life.
The presence of God, as it is used here, does not necessarily mean the presence of God in the church or any Christian gathering though it may also include it. This presence comes from living a God-directed and God-conscious life, obedience to God’s Word and establishing an abode for God in one’s heart. God’s presence is seen and experienced in a life that His Spirit dwells. As a result, He protects, preserves and promotes such an individual that carries His presence.
Shedrack, Meshach and Abednego brought about the proclamation of the name of God among the heathen – The Babylonians. Their boldness, honour, courage and faith in God brought about the presence of God in their midst and wrought great wonders among the people.
As soon as Jacob entered into the house of Laban, everything in that household changed, for the better. Prosperity and favour followed him because God’s presence was in his life.
Whenever the presence of God was with the Israelites, they defeated their enemies. Miracles, signs and wonders abide in every life that carries the presence of God. It is essential that God’s presence remains in every believer’s heart in order to live an all-round prosperous life. Is your life conducive enough for God’s presence to dwell? If not, please accept God into your life today for a total transformation and continued blessings.
PRAYER: I need Your presence in my life, O Lord, my great Redeemer. Let my life sing praises unto thy Holy name. Amen.
