DAILY REFLECTION: PORTIONS OF THE VICTORIOUS – MONDAY 6TH JULY, 2020

MONDAY 6TH JULY, 2020
THEME: Portions Of The Victorious
PASSAGE: Revelation 3:1-6
HYMN: MHB 821-STAND UP, stand up for Jesus!
MEMORY VERSE: Revelation 3:5 “He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment, and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”
MESSAGE
The Kingdom of heaven is for overcomers- those who overcame the world, sin and the devil and those who did not bow to the deceptions of Satan and his cohorts. It is for those who “…have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb” (Rev. 7:14). It is for those who were not sold out to the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life.
Beloved, the rapture will surely happen and when it does, there will be no second batch. It is better to join the overcomers once and for all; it is wise to be a part of the raptured ones. The Church in Sardis is like many Christians today. They are dead and their works were not found to be perfect. They were like Amaziah in 2 Chro.25:2 who “…did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart.”
This, indeed, is why some Christians are not in the right position with the Lord. They attend church, but they are no more in Christ. They started well in the journey of faith but allowed themselves to be distracted by worldly possession, the lust of the flesh, pride and unhealthy rivalry. Whoever is in this category is definitely not one of the victorious and will never receive of the portions of the victorious.
However, portions of the VICTORIOUS include being clothed in an unblemished white garment; their names will be in the Book of Life; Jesus will introduce them to His Father and the angels. Such people will have their portions in the Kingdom of God and will reign with Him for eternity. Do you desire that? Think about it.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, make me an over-comer for the glory of Your eternal Kingdom and write my name in the Book of Life, for in Jesus’ name I ask. Amen.
