MESSAGE
It is usually said that experience is the best teacher. However, the best teacher of all ages is the Holy Spirit. Jesus said that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things including what anyone has never experienced before. Experience can only handle what someone has gone through.
One of the promises of Jesus Christ was that He would send the Holy Spirit after His departure to be with us. This Holy Spirit has many functions for the Christian believer, giving directions and instructions to those whose ways seemed blocked.
Everyone who has the Holy Spirit will be distinct from others. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, Wisdom, Understanding, Power, Love and Grace. It is the same Spirit that imparts His fruit into us, so that we may bear His fruit that distinguishes us from the rest of the creation. It is this fruit that gives us the right identity of who we are because the fruit of the Spirit makes the difference between us and the world.
The presence of the Holy Spirit in a Christian’s life takes him/ her from the condemnation of the flesh and gives him life instead of death. His presence overrides the effects of the law and makes the righteousness of the law to be fulfilled in us.
That is why the impartation of the Holy Spirit is very important in the life of every child of God. The Holy Spirit turns our heart away from the things of the flesh so that we can please God. Each believer needs daily and continuous in-filling and re-filling of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). The Holy Spirit makes a world of difference in our Christian life.
Is He in you?
PRAYER: Eternal God, infuse in me the Holy Spirit that I may satisfy the requirement of Your righteousness and be dead to sin, in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
