MESSAGE
The reformation done by King Josiah in the land of Israel made him have a place in the heart of the Lord. As a good leader, King Josiah started the process, by first gathering all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem, all the people, and took them into the house of the Lord. Secondly, he read out the Book of God’s covenant to them. Thirdly, he made a covenant with the Lord, which all the people agreed to.
The beginning was a neat job done. This helped to align the heart of the people with what he was about to do so that they all would have respect for the process. No one was missing in the ordinance that he performed which was to clean God’s temple from the filth that was there long before he became King. He dealt with every aspect, from the materials used for the groves, the high places, the horses and chariots dedicated to gods and even the graves of their priests were not spared.
Have you ever thought of doing the same in your life, family and Church? Do you know the acts of King Josiah pleased the Lord and He brought peace to the land? Josiah was distinguished as the one who turned to the Lord with all his heart, soul and might and no one was like him that did according to the Law of Moses. It takes a man or woman with a spiritually cleansed heart to successfully clean the temple of God because the best temple of God is the human heart.
Beloved, you can do the same by cleansing your life and getting rid of all idols and contaminations of the world. When you do that, you will obtain favour and recognition from the Lord and He will dwell in your heart.
PRAYER: Lord, today, I rid my life, body, soul and spirit of every contaminant that may be present. Please, mighty Father, come and take pre-eminence in my life, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
