DAILY REFLECTION: THE UNJUST SHALL BE JUDGED – THURSDAY 19TH NOVEMBER, 2020

THURSDAY 19TH NOVEMBER, 2020
THEME: THE UNJUST SHALL BE JUDGED
PASSAGE: MALACHI 3:1-15
HYMN: MHB 644 – THOU Judge of quick and dead
MEMORY VERSE: _Revelation 2:5 “Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works, or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”_
MESSAGE
If the angels that sinned against God could not escape His judgment, and Sodom and Gomorrah were judged by Him because of their sins, no one that is ungrateful to God can escape His judgment.
In the passage before us, God sent His messengers to the Israelites. As the messenger of the new covenant, Jesus dwelt in their midst and saved whoever that sought Him. Unfortunately, they rejected Him and turned their backs against Him. However, as a loving Father, He continued to call them to return unto Him and that He would return to them, despite the fact that they robbed Him. But they did not listen to Him.
Therefore, God told them that the day of reckoning would come in which every unjust shall be judged and it will be a terrible day. The Bible says “It is a fearful thing to fall in the hand of the living God”. If a child cannot escape the punishment of his or her parents when he or she is unfaithful or ungrateful to them, how much more shall we escape the judgment of the Almighty God?
Brothers and Sisters, in whatever way that you have been ungrateful to God, think about it now and return unto Him. Confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour now, because the judgment is at hand. Remember, every sorcerer, fornicator, adulterer, liar, etc; shall not enter into the Kingdom of God, who cannot be partial as some judges do. While the just and the righteous will reign and rule with God, the wicked and the ungodly will go to hellfire.
Which one do you like? The decision is yours.
PRAYER: I understand that You do not reject those who genuinely come to Thee. Accept me, a repentant sinner, and make me Your son henceforth in Jesus’ name. Amen.
