LENT: Blossoming in the Deserts (Maundy Thursday)

Do you feel like you are in a desert? Do you feel nothing is working in your life? Do you feel stagnant? Do you feel lonely, alone and isolated out of this world?

Then this bible verse is for you.  The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.  Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. –  Isaiah 35; 1-2

If you are in need of a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel,  Isaiah promises that even in darkness, even in death itself, there is good ground for hope.  The power of God is able to restore life to His people even when they appear already dead!

No matter what you go through, rejoice because there is always light at the end of the tunnel. It might seem difficult today, it might seem like there is no hope, like there is no getting out of this, just remember that the word of God doesn’t lie.

But for you to be a partaker of this blessing, of this liberation, of this victory, there is work to be done. You cannot sit down, and wait on the lord to come to your rescue without calling or seeking his help.

Are you in need of a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel?  Isaiah promises that even in darkness, even in death itself, there is good ground for hope.  The power of God is able to restore life to His people even when they appear already dead!

God has promised us everything in the Bible, it is in these promises that Christ communicates to us His grace and power. For us to be able to activate these promises in our Christian lives, we certainly need to know what is offered to us and also where to locate them.

These promises are an invitation to use in prayer for needed help in whatever situation we might find ourselves in, but remember,  they cannot help you unless you apply them by faith and prayer. The vast majority of church members never use these promises in prayer.

So rather than wallow in sadness and depression, why not take the time to seek God’s promises and start inculcating and imbibing them into your daily prayers. Prophesy these promises into your life daily. speak life into them, command them to work for you, then you would definitely see changes.

No matter what you are going through, no matter how dry your desert is, God can make it blossom again.
