MESSAGE
Our world today is full of feasting, eye service, and merriment, borne out of the desire for pleasure. You will be dazed when you see people in one moment enjoying together and at another, the same set of people at loggerheads, like the worst of enemies.
A lot of friendships and relationships that we share are based on what we want to get and gain from the relationship. That is why when things are not going the way we imagine or we see a possibility that our interest is at stake, you see us turning around to be another thing.
Houses of friendship are turned into “houses of commotion” when what governs our motives and actions are not based on genuine love of God that is from above. We have seen the reality of the example that Christ demonstrated to us in love. And the way for our world to be habitable is the way to allow the rule of love. The rule of law has prevailed over the rule of love in our society today and because of this, we are so far from achieving the peace of God.
The most pathetic of this is that in the church of God, some people that are called the children of God are void of the same rule of love, yet they call themselves Christians. Every other thing has been subject to law and judgment. How are we going to show the world the love of God that redeemed us?
You are part of the body of Christ if you have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. If you are a Christian indeed, arise today and do everything possible for love, in order to reign wherever you are. In your home first, your neighborhood, the church of God, and the society at large. You must do all that love compels you to do today (2 Cor 5:14a).
PRAYER: God, You are love personified; reign in my life and let Your Love rule my family and our nation, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
