THEME: JOY AFTER WEEPING
PASSAGE: PSALM 30:1-12
MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 30:5 “For anger is but for a moment and his favour is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning”
HYMN: MHB 634 (Irregular and refrain) – WILL YOUR anchor hold in the storms of life?
David was a man who saw troubles in all ramifications but he put his trust in God for a better future. He suffered difficulties in all aspects of life but in all, he worshipped God like Job who had a lasting joy. Weeping does not last no matter how painful and dehumanizing it may seem. It has an expiry date if you persist in prayer and thanksgiving to God Almighty.
Are you weeping now? Wipe off your tears for it is over. This morning your joy has just begun. The thought of having nothing to eat can make one weep. Poverty, sickness, embarrassment by your neighbours and family members, and even friends can cause you shame and sorrow. Rise and pray to God now! Your condition must change for the better and the best. Verse 5b of the text says, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” The God who delivered David from all his numerous troubles is that same God you serve and worship today. Call upon Him now and He will answer.
Nobody truly calls upon Him without receiving an answer. Don’t allow Satan to blindfold you. Open your mouth in prayer and seriously call upon Him. Are you at the point of death now? Receive your healing and deliverance now, in Jesus’ name.
Let no one deceive you that your condition is beyond God’s control. Believe in Jesus Christ and get healed now. The will of God for you is joy and not weeping. You have wept enough, and people have mocked you a lot. Now is the morning of your unstoppable joy. Believe it, receive it and it is done in Jesus name. Jesus Christ came for you to have life and everlasting Joy. Your weeping is over no matter the overwhelming effect it has had on your life in, Jesus’ name. Amen. Believe it is truly over, in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER: Lord God, take away weeping and grant me full joy in whatever I do, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
