The Power of Reflective Thinking

It is a most mortifying reflection for a man to consider what he has done, compared to what he might have done. ⠀⠀
How do you channel your thoughts?⠀⠀
Do you address your mind with every form of laxity? On the premise that it is just mere thinking?⠀⠀
The thing is that we don’t understand the power of our minds. We don’t understand how we can control things around us with the way we think.⠀⠀
The capacity to change anything and everything begins with the management of our minds but unfortunately, we neglect all these and rather seek for prayer houses to address issues our thoughts would have taken care of. ⠀
Just as Reflection helps us count our blessings and appreciate where we are from where we’ve been, it also has the power to change the world around us. ⠀⠀
When our thinking becomes reflective, it produces powerful result afterwards. ⠀⠀

A reflective thinking is one that carefully draws a balance in decision making from series of past experiences and builds on the lessons for a better choice. ⠀⠀
It is not just enough to think. Are the thoughts productive? As we take time this period to review what life has offered us alongside the things we’ve been through, what effects are they expected to have on our futuristic endeavours? Would it just pass as normal thoughts or would it redress some of our actions? This should be the essence of reflective thinking…⠀⠀
When we think reflectively, we don’t just draw conclusions baselessly or make inconsiderable decisions. ⠀⠀
Every decision that is an offshoot of reflective thinking is always promising and possesses the potentiality of producing huge results even beyond the period it was made. ⠀⠀
Don’t just think. Also, note that every thought should be aimed at making a difference and nothing less. ⠀⠀
Reflection can only be considered fruitful when it impacts your next decision and line of action positively.⠀⠀
Scriptural References: Proverbs. 23:7⠀⠀

• Am I making a positive impact on my world and people around me?⠀⠀
• Am I living up to my core values and personal mission?⠀⠀
