MESSAGE
It is usually said that ignorance is a killer. The knowledge of something gives one an advantage in that area. However, very many people raise their shoulders because of who they think they are and not because of what the Lord has made of them. They glory in their own knowledge or the certificate they have. Though it may not be wrong if you take pride in who you are, it is more important to know that whatever or whoever we are, without the knowledge of God, it amounts to zero.
Very many people have achieved so many things in life; some have made inventions and discoveries, thereby, making impacts in the various areas of science and humanities and have touched many lives. These are laudable. However no matter how great they may seem, they do not have eternal value and without God, all is vanity.
The wisest and richest man of his time, King Solomon, tells us more about it in Proverbs 2:5 “Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.”Until we find the knowledge of God, we are nothing. God even desires that people have His knowledge more than burnt offerings (Hosea 6:6).
The more you know of God, the more joy that will come into your life. The depth of understanding of God that anyone has is a source of joy, glory and peace for them. Knowing what the Lord can do settles so many things about life. Seek to know the Lord more and more and you will have more joy in your heart. He exercises loving-kindness and righteousness for us all. Read the Bible daily to know more about this Almighty, Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent God. It is only then that you can know Him deeper.
PRAYER: Father, instill Your knowledge in me and help me to gain more understanding of You, for my eternity, in the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
